Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-04-21
This policy explains what information AudiobookRadar collects when you use the site, why, and what control you have over it. If something is unclear, email me at contact@audiobookradar.com and I'll answer directly.
What I collect and why
- Account data. When you sign in with Google, I receive your name, email address, and profile image. That's stored so the site can show you as signed in and send the alerts you asked for.
- Tracked books and alert preferences. The books, authors, and settings you save.
- Email address. Used only to send the price-drop alerts you opted into, plus occasional transactional notices about your account. Every alert has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Session cookies. A small cookie keeps you signed in between visits. No advertising cookies, and no third-party tracking beyond the analytics described below.
- Analytics. Google Analytics 4, configured with ad personalization turned off and IP anonymization turned on. Used to see aggregate traffic and basic audience info (rough location, device, demographics), not to profile individual visitors.
- Server logs. Standard web logs (IP, user-agent, path, timestamp) kept briefly, on the order of a month, to investigate abuse and outages.
What I don't do
- I don't sell your data.
- I don't share it with advertisers or data brokers.
- I don't run third-party ad networks or retargeting pixels.
- I don't enrich your profile with data from other services.
- I don't read or store your Google account beyond the basic sign-in fields listed above.
Affiliate disclosure
Some outbound links on the site may earn a commission when you buy through them. This is disclosed in the footer on every page. Additional store affiliate programs may be added over time and are covered by this same disclosure. Affiliate relationships do not change which price the site shows you as cheapest.
Third-party processors
The site relies on a small set of vendors:
- Authentication. Currently Google (sign-in only).
- Analytics. Currently Google Analytics.
- Website hosting and asset delivery. Currently Cloudflare.
- Backend jobs and storage. Currently Amazon Web Services.
- Email delivery. Currently Resend.
Each of these providers has its own privacy terms. They only see the data they need to do their job.
Your rights
You can:
- Delete your account any time from Settings → Danger zone. This immediately removes your profile, watchlist, followed authors, alert rules, connected libraries, and notification history. For a copy of your data before deleting, email contact@audiobookradar.com.
- Unsubscribe from alerts with the link at the bottom of any alert email, or from settings.
Children
The site isn't intended for anyone under 13. I don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, email me and I'll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what data is collected, who processes it, or what rights you have, I'll bump the "Last updated" date at the top and, for significant changes that affect existing accounts, send an email to the address on file. Small edits for clarity do not bump the date.
